Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) is an ePub reader that makes it super easy to read digital books on your Mac without having to drag them into an app or upload them to a cloud server. Once ADE is on your Mac, you can select it as the reader for any ePub file, so you can get started reading right away. An auto code reader give you a head start, but youâll still have to do some detective work before you start pulling and replacing parts (more on this later). The least expensive auto code reader units are simple car code readers that burp up an alphanumeric trouble code but no information about what it means.
Windows users: If you are on a Windows computer, see Install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC | Windows.
Installing Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is a two-step process. First you download the installation package, and then you install Acrobat Reader DC from that package file. You do not have to remove the older version of Reader before installing Acrobat Reader DC.
Before you install, always make sure that your system meets the minimum system requirements.
You need Mac OS X 10.9 or later to run Acrobat Reader DC. If your operating system is older,
you can install an earlier version of Reader. For step-by-step instructions, see Install an older version of Adobe Reader on Mac OS.
Note:
Not sure which version of Mac OS you have? Click the Apple icon in the upper-left corner of your screen, then choose About This Mac.
To see if other users are experiencing similar download and installation problems, visit the Acrobat Reader user forum. Try posting your problem on the forums for interactive troubleshooting. When posting on forums, include your operating system and product version number.

Is there an equivalent product/method for AutoHotkey. For those that don't know, its a product that allows you to program your mouse movements and keyboard. This allows me to 'macro' certain functions on programs instead of having to do it manually. In the old days they used to call them keyboard stuffers. https://xqgzrt.weebly.com/blog/acrobat-reader-for-mac-high-sierra-download. But that is only half of the solution as I need a 'mouse movement' stuffer as well.
Is there such a beast?

I recommend Keyboard Maestro which lets you set up macros with various actions that can be triggered with keyboard shortcuts or other triggers.

Auto Reader For Books
Check out Hammerspoon. It seems to be very fully featured and â like AutoHotkey â offers a programmatic way to do all sorts of OSX automation, in addition to key binding/remapping.
(It takes a plugin based approach. Karabiner, mentioned in an answer above, can be used as a plugin too allowing its functionality to be enhanced in all sorts of ways.)

I use Karabiner. It is a bit of a pain to customize (it uses XML), but it is just as powerful as AHK. It can also move the mouse.

I use BetterTouchTools. It can emulate button pressees, mouse clicks, lots of useful functions depending on the currently open application.
Ex: F1 in evernote makes text bold, F2 makes text bigger, F3 selects the whole line:
BetterTouchTools was free until very recently. Now it switched to a 'pay as much as you like' model with a minimum of ~2 dollars or so.
However, it's a GUI based automater, it doesn't have the programming features that Autohotkey has. You can however combine multiple actions like activating a window, press a button, hide a window again etc.
